Air Compressor Damper

We built this air compressor damper to damp the vibrations from an air compressor. The vibrations from the compressor were flowing through the walls of the garage, into the house, and disturbing the occupants.

This design uses a spring-and-mass damper to carefully tune out the resonance from the motor, thus removing the vibration at its source
